Tonight's picture was taken in August of 2007. I love this photo!! Peter took it while on a bicycle ride with Mattie around Coronado (in San Diego). I am not sure what I love more... Mattie's smile, or the fact that you can see this fantastic smile with the backdrop of the famous Hotel del Coronado, which was built in 1888 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977. Mattie enjoyed his time in Coronado and I am so happy Mattie got around at such a young age. We wasted no time in making memories.

The packing continues today! However, the good news is as of this evening I know where my parents will be moving to next week. My parents made the decision to start a new chapter in their lives, that involves not being home owners and the huge responsibility and headache that comes with this. Given that they have lived in a house for their entire married life, finding the right rental took time, research, and a lot of legwork. The rental was secured today and it is like winning the lottery.

I have been a wrapping machine for the last couple of days. The above photo is the before and this photo is the after! I am getting good at wrapping and move at a quick pace now. Another skill to add to my resume. But in all seriousness, I think running a non-profit provides me with the opportunity to hone my organizational skills. Skills which I have naturally, but like a muscle, I have the ability to stretch and build upon it daily. My dad says watching me makes him tired. What I find funny about this is Peter says the same thing to me when I am home.

Meanwhile I went outside today to take a break and check out who was in my parent's backyard! I took this as a definite Mattie sign.

I have different boxes staged around the house! The front hallway is decided for donations. Which I arranged to be picked up next week. So we are on our way!
