Tonight's picture was taken in October of 2004. Mattie was two and a half years old and together we picked out this cute Winnie the Pooh sweatsuit at Target. Mattie did not like shopping for the most part, but tolerated Target. Most likely because in addition to items, there were also toys to look at in the store. In any case, Mattie was all about wearing soft materials, and nothing that was too tight and confining. We read many Winnie the Pooh stories together and it seemed fitting that Mattie would want to dress up as Pooh.

Quote of the day: Today's coronavirus update from Johns Hopkins

  • Number of people diagnosed with the virus: 45,812,770
  • Number of people who died from the virus: 743,294

In addition to all the other craziness on the Farm, we also have the Foundation's Candy and Item Drive in full swing. The Amazon delivery guy today was a total riot. He said.... 'Maam, I have NEVER delivered so many boxes in one day to ONE house!'

That's us! You can imagine the recycling truck hates us, as the amount of cardboard we produce each week is significant. It took quite some time to process through this and break down boxes. I am VERY grateful to our supporters, because this generosity speaks volumes.

The Amazon guy and I stacked the boxes, so that I at least had a pathway out of our side door.

Meanwhile, get the picture?  This is the volume we have in our family room currently. It's looking a bit like a warehouse. The item drive goes through the second week of November, so I have no idea what the final tally will be like. The Foundation is now stocking three carts, so receiving this volume is MUCH APPRECIATED.
