Tonight's picture was taken on May 28, 2008. This was a photo of Mattie with some of his classmates and one of his teachers at the end of the school kindergarten party. It was held off campus in a park. The children had games, pizza, and ice cream. It was a fun moment in time and I am so glad I volunteered to coordinate the event. Which allowed me the ability to attend. Fortunately I did, because I only got one chance to get it right.
Quote of the day: Today's coronavirus update from Johns Hopkins.
- Number of people diagnosed with the virus: 33,263,785
- Number of people who died from the virus: 594,565
This is a photo of Sunny walking through the woods at Peter's family house. Sunny just LOVES these walks and the woods. He can't wait until Peter gets downstairs in the morning, in order to go look for squirrels, bunnies, and other outer creatures.
Peter's parents had friends over today for Memorial Day weekend. It is wonderful to be around several couples who get along so well. They know how to have fun, share stories, take interest in many subject matters, and they all know how to cook. Each brought a dish to today's dinner.
We took Sunny for a walk around a local pond. Being spring season, the Canadian Geese and their goslings are all over the place. Aren't they the cutest?
Mom, dad and the babies. Mattie would have absolutely loved this sighting. He would always tell me this kind of sighting reminded him of us.
How do you like this fellow? This plumb turkey is a resident in the backyard here. He is so big, colorful, and vocal. He should see him move like the wind when Sunny comes outside.
The rhododendrons here in Boston are enormous! The flowers are as big as snowballs and so colorful I am so grateful I brought my sweaters and quilted coat. It has been frigid here and hard to believe it is spring!

Tomorrow, I drive with friends to a ferry on Cape Cod, as I head to Martha's Vineyard for three days.
